Americans must remember that al Qaeda gets a vote too. Americans should assume that al Qaeda is planning an attack or multiple attacks before the election. This is their modus operandi. Just as the terrorists influenced the Spanish election of 2004, and Usama bin Laden’s message in 2004 hurt Democratic candidate John Kerry, so too should Americans expect that al Qaeda will try to influence this presidential election.
Let us hope that the attack or attacks will be thwarted by the U.S. and our allies.
