In the now famous incident, faux-professor Gates told the Cambridge police office that he needed a cane to walk after the cuffs were on (which the officer permitted), leading to the question:  Where was faux-professor Gates’ cane before then, such as when he was getting out of the car, breaking into his home, or berating the officer?
