Reports are that the Obama administration is abandoning the Bush administration’s effort to place interceptors in Poland and an advanced radar in the Czech Republic to defend NATO from Iranian ballistic missile attack. This is a huge mistake. Warsaw and Prague are key NATO allies who have gone out on a limb for the alliance and the United States.

Obama is now abandoning them.

This is a disaster for U.S. credibility and the coherence of the alliance. The Russians are happy. The Iranians are pleased.

The peoples of Central and Eastern Europe are terrified of being abandoned by their ally, the United States. They would be right to ask: Is this what we get for trying to help the United States and NATO?

Those states have been through this before. And what seems like a small matter from the standpoint of Washington, is critically important to them. They have been abandoned by allies before with disastrous results.

They should be warned, with Obama in power, the Russians have a veto on U.S. policy. Efforts to make the NATO alliance stronger will be defeated by Barack Hussein Obama, the appeaser-in-chief.

It seems that the Messiah is upset that all of the Old Media are not backing him 100%. The excellent site Newsbusters.org has the story here.

How dare Fox News cover Obamessiah critically. Do they think they are journalists rather than cheerleaders?

If only Fox News would do want the Obamessiah wants, abandon journalism like their colleagues and support him absolutely. That works in North Korea.

At some point, the few serious journalists in the United States are going to have to call their colleagues to account for the health of their profession. I have no doubt that this will make a difference in the coverage of the Messiah, it won’t. But concern for the health of journalism, and disgust with the groupthink coverage, will require it. Think of this as an experiment to reveal the small number of true journalists in the country beyond those at Fox News.

Obama has been a “community organizer” and President. He failed at the first and is failing at the second. Neither is his true calling. It is now clear what that is. Having witnessed his performance this week in Cairo, Buchenwald concentration camp, and Omaha Beach, Obama is the world’s apologizer in chief. He does it so well, effortlessly even.

All he needs to do is resign the Presidency, and then he could travel the world apologizing.

Let’s see, where could he go? How about Japan? There he could apologize for starting horrific wars, using biological weapons, killing millions. Next, he could go to Russia to apologize for killing millions. After that, he could go to China to apologize for killing millions. Then off to Cambodia to apologize for killing millions. On to Rwanda, Germany, North Korea….

The strange thing is, unlike Obama, these countries are not interested in apologizing to the rest of the world. How curious. Obama clearly has his work cut out for him. So many countries. So much difficult history. Yet, they have little interest in describing their past sins, let alone apologizing for them.

Thank goodness America has Obama. He is a leader unlike the rest. Obama is ready to prostrate himself, to bow before Saudi Kings, and to beg forgiveness from America’s enemies at a moment’s notice. No other country’s leader would do these things.

In fact, he does it so well, it is really selfish for America to keep him as president. He needs to be shared with the world. After he resigns, he could apologize for so many things from great injustices like the Ukrainian famine to Hello Kitty to the macarena. He needs to get started immediately.

It was going to happen. Vice President Biden warned the American people that the neophyte Obama would be challenged in an international crisis within 6 months of his presidency. North Korea is offering such a challenge with its second nuclear test and subsequent missile tests. The only good thing coming out of the test is that the country is using up its fissile material.

There are three reasons to be concerned with nuclear North Korea: 1) They will use the weapons against the U.S. or our allies; 2) they will start a proliferation chain (e.g. Japan); and 3) they will provide the material, know-how or bombs to terrorists or other countries.

The implications of a nuclear North Korea are profound. The United States has wrestled with this problem since 1991 and no administration has found a good solution. Each has preferred to kick the can down the road and hope that the regime collapses.

That policy has not worked. North Korea has only grown its nuclear capabilities. There is every reason to believe this will continue. The administration seems to adopt the action of its predecessor, watching North Korea closely to ensure no bombs or components leave. That is an imperfect solution because North Korea gets stronger, with more fissile material to sell. It also places a huge burden on the U.S. intelligence community. But it is the only practical solution and so is good enough for the present circumstances.

The United States is now a 100+ days into the Obama administration and is the country is worse off than before his presidency.

The reasons why are, first, he has undermined American security. What foreign policy accomplishment do you remember from the first 100 days: not one. Just the reverse. He began with his apology tour. The U.S. president always speaks to many audiences and blaming his predecessor smacks of petulance and weakness. Obama does not get a time out and he does not get to reset the relationship with key countries. Aggressors are heartened by his words and America’s friends sense weakness. Expect Japan and Saudi Arabia to move toward proliferation. New NATO allies rightly understand that Obama is abandoning them in favor of the chimera of improving relations with Russia. The Russians understand and respect strength, for which there is no substitute. They are not going to find it in this administration.

Second, over 100 days in it is clear that the Obama administration is actively moving the United States toward socialism in deed, if not in word. The administration is chock full of cultural Marxists. They understand the need to move slowly, over generational time. They prefer to focus on the young as they are easier to shape and since they were born after the Cold War they have little aversion to socialism. Bailouts to Democratic constituencies, sharing the wealth, attacking and suppressing the opposition, normalizing socialism by casting it in a good light, blaming traditional American values and capitalism are all part of the effort to move the United States toward socialism. In other words, an attempt for the Marxists, hidden behind the mask of the Democratic Party, to seize power in the United States.

About 1,300 days to go. Now is the time for Republicans to re-connect with American political principles. Republicans hold fast.

The United States Navy has done it again. By rescuing American hostage Captain Richard Philips from Somali pirates on Easter Sunday, the Navy has shown how to handle such a situation. Their professionalism makes it look easy.

We do not know yet how the Obama administration handled this. There is a worrying report that they preferred a “peaceful solution.” No doubt, if true, such a path placed Philips and servicemen in peril and prolonged the standoff.

The larger issues of how such lawlessness developed and why vessels do not assume the obligations of protecting themselves rather than troubling the Navy with such responsibilities need to be addressed.

This sounds like a job for NATO.

NATO does have a force in the area, but it is time for it to be expanded in order to relieve the burden on the U.S. Navy. Whether that will happen is doubtful since the Obama-love of the European Left is superficial.

Americans can be grateful once again for their armed forces. The best in world. We can join Captain Philips in his appreciation and gratitude. Thanks, U.S. Navy.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder told Americans that they are “a nation of cowards” on race.

Americans should be outraged. What an insult to the country and all Americans from the nation’s first black Attorney General in the administration of the first black president.

What temerity! What chutzpah!

Americans need to recognize this for what it is: the race industry’s grab for more power. The race industry will never be satisfied with the state of race relations in the United States. The United States will always be a fundamentally racist country in need of their socialist cures.

Race industrialists, like Eric Holder, must deny–always and forever–the real progress on race relations in the United States in order to advance their agenda against Americans, of all races, who believe in individual rights, individual freedoms, and judging people on an individual basis. For the race industrialist, time moves backwards: in America, it is always 1950, on the cusp of 1920. Only their socialist policies can prevent retrogression.

Holder’s remarks betray his three-part agenda: gaining and maintaining power, advancing a Marxist-inspired ideology to overthrown traditional American principles of individual rights; and rewarding and building political constituencies. This is not about race.

The genius of it is that the Republicans under Steele will try to chase this, becoming Holder-lite, bemoaning his remarks while adopting the same policies, just fewer of them and slower. Either way, Holder and his ilk win.

We know what Holder’s attack means. He is setting the stage to advance the radical agenda of the race industry: quotas by other names, even greater race-obsession in governmental policies. These policies have failed and will continue to fail. They will continue to Balkanize the United States. But they will deliver pork for the race industry and many of the political constituencies of the Democratic Party. They will contribute to the destruction of the United States.

Who could have ever thought an American Attorney General would say such a thing. An American Attorney General would not. An Attorney General who is a Marxist-influenced race peddler would say such a thing. No surprise there, and more to come.

For the sake of America, Holder must resign now.
