Whittle has accomplished a tremendous task.  He documents not only the bias of CNN reporters like Susan Roesgen’s hateful and partisan attack on the Tea Party protesters in Chicago on April 15, but also the great consequences of this bias on presidential elections.

He submits that without the 15 point boost media bias gives the Democrats (as Newsweek‘s Evan Thomas stated in 2004), Obama would have won Vermont and D.C.

The costs of media bias are great.  In addition to the problems Whittle identifies, I would add an even larger one:  the destruction of America’s political principles and their supplanting by the political principles of socialism.

According to election fraud lawyer Heather Heidelbaugh, The New York Times decided suddenly to drop all efforts last October to publish stories about the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) because it came to light that ACORN was a big donor to then presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign. The Times is said to have told ACORN insider Anita Moncrief that they were dropping the story because it was a “game changer” for the election and might hurt Obama’s campaign.

Heidelbaugh, who worked for the Penn. Republican State Committee in a vote fraud lawsuit against ACORN, told a House Judiciary subcommittee on March 19 that she had found a close link between ACORN, Project Vote and the Obama campaign through the inside information from former ACORN worker Anita Moncrief.

What a depressing tale for those who knew what journalism once was.  Again we see that the Old Media are arms of the Democratic Party.  They did everything they could to ensure Obama was elected, Democrats control the Congress, Governorships, and other critical elected offices.  Where is the Right’s response?  Andrew Breitbart and Big Hollywood seem to be doing it themself.  Well done, Andrew and rest of the good folks at your site, but the rest of us need to help you!

Tuesday’s report at Politico.com revealed that Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, conducts daily conference calls with major players in the Old Media–CNN’s Paul Begala and James Carville and ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.  Together they work to make sure Obama’s message dominates the Old Media.

This is sickening.  If it were needed, this is additional datum revealing the Democrats and the Old Media are so closely connected we need to refer to them with one word:  Obaoldmedia?  Omedia? Or BOmedia?

The President and the Press are now one.

These are the people who are supposed to safeguard our freedoms and protect our liberties from abuses of power.  But they have abandoned journalism for politics.  This has never happened in American history.  Too bad for democracy.

They should be fired by their bosses for engaging in such behavior.  Of course, that won’t happen.

One would think that the Old Media would be ashamed at their behavior toward Messiah, but you be wrong.  More and more people recognize that the bulk of Old Media are an arm of the Democratic Party.  They will cover for Messiah, not challenge him.  So much for speaking Truth to power.  Or protecting the American People….or the American political process.

Two things are remarkable about this vile, anti-American book.  First, it shows just how far the United States has moved to the Left since its publication in 1974.  What was radical thought then is now taught in elementary schools and high schools, and reflected in popular culture.  Precisely what these Marxist-Leninists wanted:  They knew the power of ideas, education, and popular culture.  That’s why Bill Ayers is a professor of education.  Second, its authors started Barack Obama’s political career.  What did they see in him to attract their attention?

Every President works to impose his beliefs on the country.  We have with Obama a committed Leftist.  He will labor to impose his socialist beliefs on the country, facilitated by a Democratic Congress, Court system, and Old Media.

We should know a President’s values, we do not with Obama.  And the Old Media will not compel him to do so by confronting him.  A man’s values do not simply appear.  They are the product of his associations and beliefs held over time.  The values of Obama’s associates and political backers are revealed in Prairie Fire.  We may infer that his are as well.  Obama will never admit to being a socialist.  He, and the Democratic Party are much too clever for that.  His rhetoric and policies will move the country in that direction, all the while claiming that they are 100% American and done to advance American values and political principles.

Reject the Weather Underground!  Reject socialism!  Reject Obama!  Vote for America!  Vote for America’s principles!  Vote for John McCain!

The traditional media is playing a very, very dangerous game. With its readers, with the Constitution, and with its own fate.

The sheer bias in the print and television coverage of this election campaign is not just bewildering, but appalling. And over the last few months I’ve found myself slowly moving from shaking my head at the obvious one-sided reporting, to actually shouting at the screen of my television and my laptop computer.

But worst of all, for the last couple weeks, I’ve begun — for the first time in my adult life — to be embarrassed to admit what I do for a living. A few days ago, when asked by a new acquaintance what I did for a living, I replied that I was “a writer”, because I couldn’t bring myself to admit to a stranger that I’m a journalist.

His dismay is profound:

But nothing, nothing I’ve seen has matched the media bias on display in the current Presidential campaign. Republicans are justifiably foaming at the mouth over the sheer one-sidedness of the press coverage of the two candidates and their running mates. But in the last few days, even Democrats, who have been gloating over the pass – no, make that shameless support – they’ve gotten from the press, are starting to get uncomfortable as they realize that no one wins in the long run when we don’t have a free and fair press. I was one of the first people in the traditional media to call for the firing of Dan Rather – not because of his phony story, but because he refused to admit his mistake – but, bless him, even Gunga Dan thinks the media is one-sided in this election.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not one of those people who think the media has been too hard on, say, Gov. Palin, by rushing reportorial SWAT teams to Alaska to rifle through her garbage. This is the Big Leagues, and if she wants to suit up and take the field, then Gov. Palin better be ready to play. The few instances where I think the press has gone too far – such as the Times reporter talking to Cindy McCain’s daughter’s MySpace friends – can easily be solved with a few newsroom smackdowns and temporary repostings to the Omaha Bureau.

No, what I object to (and I think most other Americans do as well) is the lack of equivalent hardball coverage of the other side – or worse, actively serving as attack dogs for Senators Obama and Biden. If the current polls are correct, we are about to elect as President of the United States a man who is essentially a cipher, who has left almost no paper trail, seems to have few friends (that at least will talk) and has entire years missing out of his biography. That isn’t Sen. Obama’s fault: his job is to put his best face forward. No, it is the traditional media’s fault, for it alone (unlike the alternative media) has had the resources to cover this story properly, and has systematically refused to do so.

Why, for example to quote McCain’s lawyer, haven’t we seen an interview with Sen. Obama’s grad school drug dealer – when we know all about Mrs. McCain’s addiction? Are Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko that hard to interview? All those phony voter registrations that hard to scrutinize? And why are Senator Biden’s endless gaffes almost always covered up, or rationalized, by the traditional media?

The absolute nadir (though I hate to commit to that, as we still have two weeks before the election) came with Joe the Plumber. Middle America, even when they didn’t agree with Joe, looked on in horror as the press took apart the private life of an average person who had the temerity to ask a tough question of a Presidential candidate. So much for the Standing Up for the Little Man, so much for Speaking Truth to Power, so much for Comforting the Afflicted and Afflicting the Comfortable, and all of those other catchphrases we journalists used to believe we lived by.

Less than two weeks before the election, almost all of the publicly available polls are pointing to his loss.

If McCain loses it is important to convey to conservatives the causes of his loss and the factors that contributed to it. This is particularly important because the Democrats and the Party’s public relations branch, the media, will spin the causes of Obama’s victory and seek to mask the very real concerns Americans had about him. In essence, Conservatives must about this election not only in terms of 2012, but also in terms of how it will be taught in public schools in 2028, the first presidential election for those born today.

Over the next few days, I will address certain causes and reflections as “Notes to a Future Conservative.”

Any discussion of a McCain loss has to begin by recognizing that the Left owns the public sphere. So Republicans will always have the wind in their faces. They will be made fun of on comedy shows, lampooned and attacked in the press. Democrats will always have the wind on their backs with following seas.

The Bias of the Media Was Stunning. The bias of the Old Media was known, but it was so overwhelming that it could not be combated. They did all that they could to get Obama elected. They ignored his mistakes or gaffes. They did not investigate him. So Obama’s associations with socialists, domestic terrorists, and potential corruption were not investigated effectively. Fox News tried but it was not sufficient. Although New Media had greater diversity of thought, Obama had strong support among them.

In sum, the Media were never more partisan in a modern U.S. presidential election. They did not vet Obama. They completely abandoned their obligation to voters. They should be seen for what almost all of them are: a branch of the Democratic Party.

Voter Fraud. Voter fraud was known in Ohio and Indiana. Michelle Malkin’s website did an excellent job covering voter fraud conducted by allies of the Democratic Party, particularly ACORN, which is being investigated by the FBI.  Were Obama to win, that investigation will not go anywhere.  There are reports that voter fraud is particularly significant in absentee voting.  We have yet to see its impact in the election but we expect it to be significant.

This campaign is notable principally because of the participants. The fact that one candidate is black and the other a woman overwhelms Old Media coverage, and so it is the responsibility of New Media to uncover the facts and provide analysis of the candidates’ policies.

What is clear is the lack of attention to foreign and defense policy this election cycle. We know McCain’s excellent record on these issues, but we do not know Obama’s. His campaign will only cast foreign and defense policy in a general light, as one would expect. In the past, the Old Media would have labored to tell us. Not so anymore. The cheerleaders for Obamessiah would not be caught dead investigating his policies. The American people suffer for their lack of professionalism.

Were he elected, Obama will face key foreign and defense policy challenges. How will he address the growth in Chinese military power? What are his policies on Taiwan? Will Obama protect Taiwan from Chinese coercion? Or will his election embolden the PRC’s leadership?

How will he respond to Russia’s increasing aggressiveness? What about the commitment to Europe? How will stop North Korean proliferation? Will the next president reverse the decline in America’s strategic forces?  This is only the beginning of the list of important policy decisions that will have to be made.

We know that each new president is tested by America’s foes. I feel comfortable with McCain’s ability to respond. I do not with Obama’s. Nor should other Americans. He has some excellent advisors, but the bench is not deep. If he is elected, it is certain that his inexperienced advisors will make many mistakes as they come up to speed and as reality forces them to abandon their policies.

In the meantime, America’s foes China, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela will test the inexperienced president. It did not have to come to this. And may not, if Americans make the right choice on November 4^th.
